Tags, Assets and Templates

In FactoryStudio and throughout this guide, the term “tag” refers to any real-time variable or its associated historical data. Tags usually map to devices, such as PLC registers or other physical equipment in the production process. A tag can also be connected to entries on SQL databases, external data sources, or an internally calculated value.
