FrameworX is developed by Tatsoft LLC, from the creators of InduSoft (now AVEVA
Edge). Platform lineage runs from UniSoft for Windows, which shipped in 1996, to
FrameworX today. The runtime and HTML5 clients are cross-platform on Windows,
Linux, Docker and macOS; the Designer engineering environment is Windows-only.

- Compliance: FrameworX ships security features and configuration how-to guides for IEC 62443, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and NERC-CIP. These are engineering guides rather than third-party certifications.
- MES: FrameworX covers SCADA, HMI, Historian and Unified Namespace. MES functions such as OEE, batch, work orders and genealogy are built on the platform's Datasets, Scripts and Displays, or integrated with dedicated MES products, rather than shipped as a separate MES module.
- Editions: local tags are unlimited in all editions. Sub-Enterprise editions cap external I/O points.
- Platform: the runtime and the HTML5 web and mobile clients are cross-platform. The Designer is Windows-only.
